The pattern comes from the "after-hooded parkas" of the 1930s and 40s. Pre-dating modern athletic hoodies, the parka features a sweatshirt crewneck (with a knit "dorito" reinforcement at the neck) and a floating hood. A soft kangaroo pocket sits across the front, so you can keep your hands warm on the go.
Made with McCoy's heavy "Ball Park" 12oz cotton knit as a shell, the inside is fully lined, hence the "double face" nomenclature. This provides exceptional heft and warmth, exceeding that standard hoodies and making this a much more appropriate piece of outerwear for the colder seasons.
